Who can join?

The Australian Air League is open to, boys and girls from the age of 8 to 18 years and Adult leaders 18 years and over. No experience is necessary as all training is provided.

Why join?

First there are all the new friends that you can make. Some maybe from interstate, many will become life long friends. Then there is the fun and enjoyment you will have. Many cadets decide to make aviation their career or join a branch of the military such as RAAF, but most of who have joined the aviation workforce are involved in our commercial industry. Some become pilots, flight crews, air traffic controllers or even aircraft engineers.

Some Cadets choose to keep aviation as their hobby, but whatever you choose to do in the future, your time with us will always be remembered as part of the best time in your youth. The program we run is so diverse that even if aviation is not your major interest you will still enjoy yourself.

Not only do the Cadets learn about aviation and the history of aviation but they also attend training camps, fun camps, educational tours, canoeing, fun outings and learn to make model aircraft. Training days/camps are organised at intervals through-out the year, where the Cadets and Officers can enhance their skills in Drill, Physical Activities, Swimming, we also have a Review which consists of Drill, Education, Drums, Bugle and Physical Activities. Whether joining as an Cadet or adult leader (Officer) all Air League members can have the time of there life. What you get out of the Air League depends on you.
